
Create walls you'll love to hang around
A marketing brand identity was created to bring Qowalla, a new gallery wall tablet app to market. I participated in the tricky brand naming process. (you have to get VERY creative these days...) We were up against an extremely tight deadline to launch before Q4, so I buckled down to create the logo, define the color palette and design the app website in a dizzying two weeks. I also came up with the fun idea to include a cute little koala clip in each package that customers just adore and it has already generated some buzz.
The next stage of the launch was creating a series of videos for the app store, mobile ads and for our marketing collateral. I created a gallery wall presentation to feature in the video, reviewed shot locations, proofed and edited the video scripts and selected music that best reflected the brand's personality.
We also collaboratively came up with a messaging matrix and defined a consistent voice for our koala mascot, Bruce, to use across all marketing channels. "Who has four thumbs and loves wall décor? THIS GUY!" It's such a fun brand and this app really is the easiest way to create gallery wall decor EVER.
